Looks like I’ll be in Fullerton most of the week! Tuesday at Cantina Lounge for Taco Tuesday, Wednesday again at Cantina Lounge to set off St. Patrick’s Day into Night, then Thursday with the NRG boys at Envy Ultralounge doing a super opening set to get your asses shaking…violently.
Show & Tell Gallery has added an exciting new artist to the gallery’s growing roster. Hailing from Los Angeles, artist Patrick Martinez has received a lot of acclaim recently for his unique pieces that depict his surrounding growing up in LA. Whether it is a clever take on a neon pawn shop sign, or a foam hand celebrating stick ups rather than a baseball team, he approaches his artistic practice with a clever sense of humor that stems from growing up with hip hop culture on the west coast. His recent commercial clients include Stussy, Nike, Upper Playground, Stones Throw Records, as well as a slew of others. We have received a very limited amount of prints and a neon sculpture. Act quick though, these wont be around for long. I recently got a new phone because I was sick and tired of my G1 lagging and crashing, then someone told me about an APP called Task Killer…(shaking head). I wanted to try something new anyway and I was a bit sold on the Motorola Cliq. Then I discovered this custom home screen APP that basically customizes the way you navigate to your frequently used applications.
Slide screen…its made my days a lot easier.
The upgrade to the Cliq (all touch screen) is coming out in a week or so, I think I will switch to that…then upgrade again to the Nexus One, whenever that comes out.
Quit your whining about your iPhone and your Blackberry, saying this and that and my phone sucks, blah blah blah. It’s just a phone…if I had my Nokia 3390, I’d stick with it.
