I’ve been a design slave for the Under the Table Crew for awhile now…
Working with these guys have been a pleasure and an honor, on and off the tables.
Dstrukt has really pushed the bar with this Valentine’s Day mixtape…and I have been listening to a lot of mixes lately and this one takes the heartshaped cake.
Dstrukt approached me to come up with a name and a clever cover for this mix, we really wanted to use Stefan Urkél (Steve Urkel’s suave alter ego, ie: Family Matters) picture, then we went off in a tangent and brought up other 90s TV show characters…Balki Bartacamous (Perfect Strangers) and then finally the Wonder Years…
Who can forget about this TV show? And of course Winnie Cooper (Danica McKellar).
Adam G. (Abstract Success/EK5OBITION), stepped in and gave this mix a proper title.
We had no idea that Dstrukt would go above and beyond this theme. It just goes to show his level of craftsmanship and the dedication he took on this project.

Even though I’m behind on this…we’re still steps ahead of you.
We’ve been a little busy here preparing for the brand spankin’ new ek5obition.com relaunch, not to mention that we took a break this week from our weekly Audible Wednesdays to return next Wednesday with surprise guests…
10/21 we had none other than the world famous DJ Dstrukt of the Under the Table Crew, Acrylick Clothing & the Raisin Heads. Promoting his recently release, well put together mix CD, TABLE SCRAPS…DJ Dstrukt moves the crowd with a elcectic mix ranging from baby making music to smooth reggae joints. You can catch San Jose native, DJ Dstrukt on the Wake Up Show via POWER106 on Sundays at 11PM (PST).
I sat out on this one to record everyone’s set. The sound came out really well, but Michelle’s set gets cut off towards the end, if you listen carefully you can hear Michelle blaming Concise that the sound went out.
